Royal Retrò Black is a collection of 18/10 stainless steel cutlery with a refined combination of retro finish and black PVD.
The retro finish is obtained through a mechanical vibro-finishing process which allows the vintage effect to be obtained. The process is based on the continuous rubbing of the cutlery with particular abrasive stones which give the objects that characteristic surface appearance worn by use.
PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition. It is a technology used for coloring steel through the deposition of very thin metal films. The process takes place inside vacuum chambers and consists of the evaporation and subsequent condensation of the metals on the cutlery. This treatment, with a range of wonderful color nuances, in addition to embellishing the cutlery, makes it more resistant to wear and scratches and is a perfectly sustainable coating suitable for use in the food sector.
